Something random from Lehighton, Carbon county PA.
Hello everyone. While driving through Lehighton PA today I noticed a bridge abutment that I never saw before. This time of year is great for seeing things hidden by leaves in the summer. I’m fairly certain this was some sort of spur that broke off the Central Railroad of New Jersey mainline. Most likely to service industry in the Lehighton area. Unfortunately I’m really not sure of the logistics that both the Lehigh Valley Railroad and CNJ utilized in Lehighton. Thank you for watching. 1/5/25
