Cosa dovete sapere per posare una saetta sulle viti Vortek
Visit our ecommerce: https://www.fenceshop.eu/it/ Visit our website: https://www.reteplastic.it/index.php Hello everyone, I'm Marco from Fenceshop which is Rete Plastic's ecommerce and as anticipated in the intro, today we will talk about how to lay an L-shaped lightning bolt on Vortek foundation screws because misunderstandings often arise due to a "defect" in the Vortek system itself. Let's get started! Photo 1 - To lay an L-shaped lightning bolt on Vortek foundation screws, the company has designed a foundation screw exactly the same as the others used for the posts but with a special bracket purchased separately it allows the lightning bolt to be laid. This bracket has a U-shaped profile that has a specific internal dimension to accommodate and slide the classic L-shaped fencing lightning bolts. For installation, we therefore recommend presenting the lightning bolt on the pole and on the ground in order to define the already fairly precise distance of the foundation screw. Screw the screw into the ground and then bolt the U-bracket to the screw with the included bolts. Now we can screw the lightning bolt to the pole and correct any difference in distance thanks to the U-bracket which allows us a good margin of adjustment. Once the correct position has been established, all we need to do is close all the nuts and bolts in order to make the pole and the lightning bolt a single body suitable for doing its job. In any case, if you prefer, on YouTube you can find a nice video by Vortek where it shows the installation. So far, everything is fine, right? There is a but… but before I explain it to you, SUBSCRIBE TO THE CHANNEL! We were saying that there is a “little problem”. What is it? It is the fact that (as you may know) the L-shaped lightning bolts exist with a 25x25 mm section in heights of 120, 150 and 170 cm but then, the 200 and 220 cm high ones have a greater section of 30x30 mm and this causes the impossibility of inserting the lightning bolt into its bracket. Many customers unaware of this aspect buy everything they need to build their own fence and then when it is time to install the lightning bolts, they call us a little disheartened and worried convinced that the material that arrived is not correct. The lightning bolt does not slide in as per the instructions!!! Indeed, it is like this! The lightning bolt with a 30x30 L section does not fit into the bracket. What can we do then? We have two solutions: 1- We turn the lightning bolt 180° so that the flat part of it is in contact with the flat and external part of the U-bracket. We will make sure to fix it but outside the natural seat that the U-bracket presents. 2- Let's leave the bracket alone (if we know this beforehand we could also save ourselves the cost of it) and bolt the lightning bolt directly to the foundation screw. We could bolt it to the threaded fixing point of the screw or even place a self-drilling screw on the plate of the screw itself. Obviously, this solution requires us to be a little more precise in placing the screw because we will lose the possible registration that the bracket gave us. The video ends here and I thank you for your attention.
