Job - Lección 11 - Martes 09 de junio 2026 - #Dios #Biblia
When we think of biblical figures who experienced setbacks, Job is perhaps the first person who comes to mind. He not only lost all his possessions (Job 1:14-17), but also his children (Job 1:18-19) and his health (Job 2:7). His wife urged him to curse God and die (Job 2:9). After some time, three friends came to visit him and sat down with him. They were so shocked by his appearance that they remained silent for seven days (Job 2:13). When they finally spoke, they tried to explain Job’s misfortune in human terms, but in doing so, they unwittingly increased his suffering. His friends blamed him, saying that he had some hidden sin that he should repent of (Job 8, 11, 15). They even went so far as to say to him, “Such is the dwelling place of the wicked, the place of him who does not know God” (Job 18:21). How did Job respond? Read Job 19:23–27 and 23:8–12. Despite the tragic circumstances he faced, which he did not understand, Job remained faithful and steadfast. He did not blame or curse God. On the contrary, when tempted to blame God, he declared, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and has taken away; may his name be praised!” (Job 1:21). We live in the midst of this same battle. Satan afflicts us with pain, suffering, loss, and hardship as part of his plan to distort our image of a loving God. In those moments, we can respond in two ways: blame God and reject him, or cling to him with all our might. Even though the battle rages around us, we must remember that, in the light of eternity, our problems are nothing more than temporary trials (2 Corinthians 4:16-18). There are many things we don't see here and now, and one of the greatest challenges for a believer is to trust God even in the darkest moments. God has revealed the reality of His love to us in many ways. We must cling to this crucial truth even when we don't perceive it. If you are going through a difficult time, turn to God. Take your Bible and a notebook, and meet with Him in nature. Copy Romans 5:3-5, and reflect on the different messages contained in that passage, with the certainty that God's love and care for you are the most secure and stable thing in your life.
