This charming island, located in the northern Aegean Sea and part of Çanakkale, offers visitors an unforgettable experience with both its natural beauty and historic villages. We toured the villages of Gökçeada, sampled the local delicacies, and closely observed the island's atmosphere. 📍 Tepeköy We began our tour in Tepeköy. Located on one of the highest points on the island, this village stands out with its stone houses, narrow streets, and historic atmosphere. While wandering around Tepeköy, we saw old Greek houses and breathed in the village's unique atmosphere. It felt like time had stood still. 📍 Zeytinli Village Our next stop was Zeytinli Village. Named after its olive groves, this village is famous for its coffee culture. We drank traditional Turkish coffee in the village square, chatted with the locals, and captured the village's warm atmosphere. The coffee we had here truly tasted unique. 📍 Eski Bademli Our third stop was Eski Bademli Village. One of the oldest settlements on the island, this village is home to striking stone houses and flower-adorned streets. The most beautiful aspect of Eski Bademli is its location on a hill overlooking the sea. Walking here, we experienced a blend of history and nature. 📍 Kaleköy Our next stop was Kaleköy. It's one of Gökçeada's most popular villages. Its seaside location, fish restaurants, and historic castle ruins make it a truly unique experience. Watching the sunset in Kaleköy was a unique experience. Tables laden with seafood and appetizers set up in front of the restaurants reflect the spirit of Gökçeada. 🍽 Oğlak Tandoori & Desserts Of course, Gökçeada is famous not only for its villages but also for its cuisine. We tried the island's famous oglak tandoori. This special dish, prepared over a long period of cooking, melted on the palate with the tenderness of the meat. The dessert we enjoyed afterward offered an unforgettable end to the day. 🌊 Gökçeada's Nature As we wandered through the villages, we stopped frequently to admire the scenery. Olive groves, sea views, stone streets, and historical buildings create Gökçeada's unique atmosphere.
