On this unforgettable Georgian adventure with my wife, we embarked on a wonderful journey starting from Artvin, the pearl of the Black Sea, and extending to Batumi and Tbilisi, the mystical capital of the Caucasus. Instead of just quickly skimming the tourist attractions, we prepared this video in a documentary style, with special voice-over narration and cinematic shots, to fully capture the spirit of the moment for you. We visited places like Çamlıhemşin district, Çinçiva Bridge, and Zilkale. 🌊 BATUMI: The Modern Face of the Black Sea Our second stop was Batumi, which greeted us as soon as we crossed the Sarp Border Gate. Transformed into a city of skyscrapers with massive investments in recent years, Batumi has become a wonderful coastal city where the turbulent waves of the Black Sea meet modern architecture. In the first part of our video, we take a pleasant walk along Batumi Boulevard, which stretches for kilometers along the coast. While examining the details of the Astronomical Clock in European Square, we sip our coffees in the Italian-inspired atmosphere of Piazza Square. Of course, we recorded the captivating and melancholic movement of the "Ali and Nino" statue, the symbol of the legendary love story that first comes to mind when thinking of Batumi, against the backdrop of the sunset. The Alphabet Tower and the botanical richness within the city proved to us that Batumi is not just a border city, but a center of attraction in its own right. 🏰 TBILISI: A Capital of History, Art, and Mysticism After the modernity of Batumi, we turned our route to the heart of Georgia, Tbilisi. This ancient city, divided by the Kura River, took us on a journey through time with its narrow cobblestone streets, historical balconies with carved wood, and sulfur baths. Getting lost in the streets of Tbilisi Old Town, viewing the city from a bird's-eye perspective from Narikala Fortress, and gliding over the Kura River on the Tbilisi Cable Car were among the most unforgettable moments of this trip. We tried to convey to you with our drone footage how the futuristic structure of the Bridge of Peace creates a contrasting yet harmonious picture with the historical texture. We also incorporated the story of the majestic stance of the Mother of Georgia (Kartlis Deda) statue, holding wine in one hand and a sword in the other, into the video with our voice-over narration. 🥟 GEORGIAN CUISINE: What Did We Eat, What Do We Recommend? We said the best way to get to know a country is through its cuisine, so we delved into the exquisite flavors of Georgia. Of course, the star of the show was "Khachapuri," a magnificent combination of cheese, dough, and butter. The pleasure of eating the hot egg cracked into the center of the boat-shaped dough of Acaruli Khachapuri was something else entirely. Our second stop was where we encountered the famous Georgian giant dumplings, "Khinkali." As you'll see in the video, eating khinkali is a ritual in itself; you have to gulp down the broth first, then eat the dough.
