There is a sceptre, a symbol of God given authority and dominion, and it is released through praise. In Part 2 of Garment of Praise, titled The Prevailing Sceptre, Pastor Angela unpacks a truth many have overlooked: worship is not just an act, it is a door. Worship opens the door to all of God's goodness, and it is one of the ways we get the best from God. He has a longing for it, as we see in Amos 9:11, and when praise becomes a lifestyle rather than a moment, things begin to work in our favour. Psalm 110 paints the picture: praise positions us to rule, to have our hand in the neck of the enemy, a picture of total victory and dominion over whatever has opposed us. Praise brings honour rather than leaving us to live like prey. No man can hold down a praising man. Praise unlocks the voice of God in your life. For some, the first half of this year has felt fruitless, even barren. But Isaiah 54:1 speaks directly into that place: sing, break forth into dancing, cry aloud.
