There is a garment that God gives, and it is not for your body, it is for your spirit. In this message, we open a new series titled Garment of Praise, and we begin with a truth that changes everything: praise is not a feeling, it is a decision. Isaiah 61:3 tells us that God gives us the garment of praise as a direct replacement for the spirit of heaviness, and in a season where heaviness is being released to make people lose their joy and their zest for life, this garment is our covering. We often wait to feel like praising before we praise. But praise is intentional, not emotional. You do not need to feel it first, you simply put it on, and your emotions will catch up. One of the simplest ways to walk in this is by beginning each day with gratitude before anything else has a chance to speak louder. What you wear in the spirit is not invisible. It determines how people relate to you, it determines your visibility, and it becomes your protection from harsh weather. A dry, joyless place is an open invitation for the enemy, but the garment of praise makes you look good in the realm of the spirit and positions you for favour.
