Very Inauthentic Irish Stew and Sunset on Ivinghoe Beacon
Beset by train problems I had to abandon more ambitious plans for today's outing and just head for my usual fallback: the area around Ivinghoe Beacon. Whilst out I cooked an extremely inauthentic version of Irish stew, drank some Gevrey Chambertin, and took a walk through the Ashridge Estate to Ivinghoe Beacon, where I sat to watch the sunset, before a walk in the dark back to Tring station.
