[KHI C151 079/080 - Joyride from EW12 Bugis to EW10 Kallang] Date filmed: 4 August 2025 Time of recording: between 0933hrs to 0939hrs Towards: (1) Pasir Ris Train Model: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 Train Run: 310 Depot of Origin: Tuas Depot Final Destination Depot: Changi Depot Carriage filmed at: 2080 door A4/B4 area (No. 2 end) AM/PM/Full Day: AM Peak Service (from Tuas Depot, Last Trip) This video features a Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151, trainset 079/080, which is from Tuas Depot (TWD) to serve the East-West Line (EWL) for the AM Rush Hours, from EW12 Bugis to EW10 Kallang stations, bound for EW1 Pasir Ris. Trainset 079/080 was last seen running on the North-South Line (NSL) for the AM Rush Hours on 29/7/2025 as Train Run Number (TRN) 230 and returned into Bishan Depot (BSD). From there, Trainset 079/080 did not see any deployment run and was subsequently transferred into Ulu Pandan Depot (UPD) on 30/7/2025, before heading into Tuas Depot (TWD) on 31/7/2025. After spending almost 1 whole week of inactivity from Revenue Service, Trainset 079/080 would finally return back to run on Revenue Service, but on EWL instead. It is very likely that Trainset 079/080 underwent the required corrective maintainance needed at TWD instead which led to the transfers. Anyways, good to see this particular KHI trainset back running on EWL after spending quite a while on NSL. Note that Trainset 079/080 had some problems leaving EW11 Lavender due to a Platform Screen Door (PSD) not being able to close fully (Door 11), which prevented the train from leaving. As a result, the staff at the platform had to manually close the door in order for the train to move off.
