[KHI C151 073/074 - Joyride from EW16 Outram Park to EW14 Raffles Place] Date filmed: 16 April 2025 Time of recording: between 1840hrs to 1845hrs Towards: (1) Pasir Ris Train Model: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 (GTO-VVVF Variant) Train Run: 153 → 357 Depot of Origin: Changi Depot Final Destination Depot: Changi Depot Carriage filmed at: 2074 door A4/B4 area (No. 2 end) AM/PM/Full Day: PM Peak Service (from Changi Depot, Last Trip) This video features a Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151, trainset 073/074, which is from Changi Depot (CHD) to serve the East-West Line (EWL) for the PM Rush Hours, from EW16 Outram Park to EW14 Raffles Place stations, bound for EW1 Pasir Ris. For the entire of the year 2026, I will be uploading backlog KHI C151s videos that I currently have, slowly releasing them day by day for nostagia purposes. Enjoy them while you can! Trainset 073/074 was deployed onto Train Run Number (TRN) 153, which is a late night slot from Changi Depot (now decommissioned). Due to the limitations of placing KHI C151s on late night slots following the derailment incident with EMU 065/066 in September 2024, the KHI C151s are restricted from running till late nights. Although Trainset 073/074 could have swapped at EW29 Joo Koon to TRN 357 since it was just behind, Trainset 073/074 still managed to be on TRN 153 timings and only swapped at the Eastern End of Singapore before withdrawing back into CHD after ending the Eastbound Trip. Strong Motor can be heard on carriage 2074 door A4/B4 area. Trainset 073/074 has unfortunately been retired from the entire NSEWL network, with EMU 074 being sent for scrapping on 5th November 2025 and with EMU 073 on 12th November 2025. 📲 Follow me on socials!
