Abuja's Federal High Court has issued a bench warrant for Adeniyi Adeyemi, the alleged Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, after he failed to appear for arraignment. Adeyemi faces charges of conspiracy, forgery, and impersonation related to the operation of a controversial government-linked council. His lawyer, Genesis Francis, claimed Adeyemi feared for his safety and sought presidential protection, but Justice Mohammed Umar rejected this, ordering security agencies to arrest him.
