It’s morning here in the mountain village. Outside, the rain falls on and off — the perfect kind of day to stay inside and cook something good. Before I started cooking, I did a bit of cleaning in the animals’ room. The little puppies received their first deworming treatment, which will be repeated in ten days, according to the veterinarian’s plan. I gave fresh hay to the rabbits — I love hearing them nibble with their tiny noses, it’s something magical that fills my heart with joy. I’m so happy I decided to bring them close to my little house. Watching them always gives me energy and peace. The white rabbits stay in the same area as the chickens, but I don’t keep them together because they don’t get along very well. After that, I decided to cook something tasty for my dogs. Even though they already had breakfast, I like to make them a warm, homemade meal, cooked with love. Once their food was slowly simmering, I started cooking for myself — cabbage with sausages and smoked bacon. It’s a long process, but worth every moment, and I invite you to watch all the steps. When the traditional cabbage dish was ready, I served it with sour cream and a homemade polenta, just like people used to eat in the 1800s. It turned out absolutely delicious! I put the leftovers in the fridge, because recently I brought a refrigerator and a charging station here — finally solved the electricity problem, and that makes me very happy.
