Solving Dewalt 735 Planer Electrical Issues: Expert Guide

If you’re just getting started with woodworking or are looking to upgrade your planer, I'm sure you've looked at or at least hear of the DeWalt 735 Planer or "lunchbox" as it's commonly referred to. It's hard not to love these planers, even with the straight blades they do a fantastic job at planing. Now the $600+ price tag of a new unit can be rather off putting to anyone on a budget, but what if you could get your hands on one for only $100 dollars? That's exactly what I was able to do. I found it via FB Marketplace, but the only issue is that it doesn't run and the owner believes it needs a new motor. Worst case new Field windings (stator) is $200 and the Armature (rotor) is less than $100, so I took a chance and hoped for the best.
