DW735 Planer Deep-Dive Maintenance
Learn how to do "deep-dive" lubrication and Thermal Overload Switch replacement on your DeWalt DW735 Thickness Planer in this video. Stiff drive chains and/or dry roller bushings can cause the motor to overheat from extra friction and trip the protective thermal overload switch but proper lubrication will maintain peak performance and keep downtime to a minimum. Continual tripping of the Thermal Overload Switch causes it to become overly sensitive and prone to tripping frequently requiring replacement. There's more than a few pro-tips for making this responsible maintenance go quickly and smoothly so check out the video to save time by learning from my mistakes!
