Class 88 Rescuing Broken Class 68 That's Already Rescued a Class 66 | Larbert: 04/07/26

An eventful day for the return trip of the Blackford Water Train on the 4th of July 2026. With the northbound working arriving 3 minutes early with 66429. The return working then departed 289 minutes late with 68003 leading which made it as far as Torwood on the approach to Larbert. 1Z99 was dispatched from Motherwell TMD with 88005 (rare to see a Class 88 go by Coatbridge) to get the train to its destination 409 minutes late. 0:00 - 88005 into Larbert station switching from electric to diesel to cross over to begin the rescue 0:39 - 68003 & 66429 on either end of 4D00 awaiting the Class 88 1:00 - 88005 coupling up to the train 1:43 - Class 88 leading Class 68 top and tailed Class 66 passing Allandale 2:23 - ScotRail 43169 & 43182 at Greenhill Upper running ECS from Stirling to Glasgow 2:57 - 68004 gets a clear run over Greenhill Upper working 4D47 Inverness to Coatbridge Stobart intermodal Thanks for Watching!
