Air Force C-17 aid to Nepal
Two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-17A Globemaster aircraft arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, to deliver humanitarian and disaster relief stores and repatriate Australian nationals as part of OP Nepal Assist, on 30 April 2015. The relief stores consisted of hygiene kits, tarpaulins, blankets and water purification tablets. Both aircraft then flew evacuees to Bangkok. Operation NEPAL ASSIST 2015 is the ADF's contribution to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) led Australian Government response to the earthquake in Nepal.
