The PUCP School of Government and Public Policy invites you to relive the Masterclass: “Results-Based Budgeting: How to Move from Operational Spending to Decisions that Generate Public Value,” a live session designed to reflect on the role of the public budget as a key tool for improving the quality of spending, strengthening public management, and guiding decisions toward generating public value. What topics were covered in the session? • How to understand the public budget from a results-oriented perspective. • Which decisions allow for a shift from operational spending to more impactful budget management. • Why it is crucial to coordinate budgeting, planning, and budget programs to improve government action. The session was led by Paola Marius Vásquez, a Master's graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Programme on Educational Policies for Global Development, with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from PUCP. She has experience in the Ministries of Education, Production, Labor, and Economy and Finance, where she served as Coordinator of the Education Sector Budget in the Thematic Budget Directorate.
