Calm Morning Walk Along Sukhumvit Road — Thonglor to Phrom Phong, Bangkok

A peaceful morning walk through central Bangkok along Sukhumvit Road, from Thonglor to Phrom Phong. Soft daylight, everyday movement, and the city settling into its morning rhythm. Notes from this walk: Weather: Hazy, 23C Date: 30 January 2026 at 7:15 AM Sawadee friends! Today we're walking from Thonglor to Phrom Phong along the south side of Sukhumvit road. The walk starts at the far end of Thong Lo BTS station, overlooking the T-ONE building and its cool little winged guy statue. I descended down to street level and started walking back towards Phrom Phong. As usual, there were plenty of street food vendors underneath the Thong Lor BTS station, selling delicious breakfasts and lunches for people on the way to work for the day. Shortly past the station, the sidewalk widened in front of the new condo high-rises that are being constructed or newly built. Can you hear the BTS Skytrain running overhead? The hum of the train is so calming. Plus both north and south sides of Sukhumvit have plenty of greenery and small storefronts to give shade to the sidewalks. This stretch is so pleasant to walk along. It gets a little busier as we get closer to Phrom Phong BTS station. I know I say this all the time, but the street food always smells so great!
