COMPLETAMOS LAS FORTIFICACIONES QUE PROTEGÍAN EL PUEBLO Y AERÓDROMO DE LLIRIA - TRINCHEREANDO#205

Hello, Comrades! We're back again with "Trenching," and this time we're returning to the Immediate Line, the "Puig-Carassoles," to show you two of the seven Resistance Centers around Llíria. This defensive arc was designed to protect access to Valencia from Alcublas and to defend the Llíria Aerodrome at Les Carrasses. The area is heavily defended by the fortifications of the "Caramello" and "San Gerardo" Resistance Centers. However, we recently discovered that we missed a Machine Gun Nest in the Caramello area, so we'll have to go back! 1. Caramello Resistance Center This sector is located on a strategic elevation that allowed for visual and fire control of the access routes from the north. Location: Elevation near the Llíria-Alcublas road. Main Features: Trenches: Branches excavated directly into the rock are preserved, designed with zigzag patterns to minimize the impact of shrapnel. Machine Gun Nests: Reinforced concrete and stone structures with embrasures to cover specific firing angles. Underground Shelters: Tunnels excavated to protect troops from aerial and artillery bombardments. Current State: It is one of the best-preserved sites and has been cleaned and prepared for public viewing. 2. San Gerardo Resistance Center Located near the residential development of the same name, this center formed part of the flanking maneuvers of the line. Function: To protect the right flank of the Llíria sector and connect with the defenses towards the Turia River. Infrastructure: Mine galleries: Notable for their communication tunnels that allowed soldiers to move safely between positions. Command posts: More robust structures designed for coordinating infantry units. Firing lines: Oriented towards the expected advance of Franco's troops from the Teruel or Castellón front. I hope you enjoy it and have a pleasant time with us! Thank you very much for your time and have a good week! At our adventure tourism company, "Espadán Aventuras," we have designed a wide range of itineraries, which we call "The War Routes." In our videos, we undertake a series of explorations in search of vestiges of the Spanish Civil War, passing through the most emblematic locations where events of great military importance took place along the so-called XYZ Line. This Republican defensive line, whose purpose was the absolute defense of Valencia, covered a vast area, stretching from Almenara (Castellón) to Santa Cruz de Moya (Cuenca). It features 14 resistance centers, which we have visited over the years, six of them located in the Alto Palancia region. Our intention is also to promote the rich historical heritage of the Civil War found in the Valencian Community and Teruel. We create exploration videos searching for the remains of trenches, machine gun nests, bunkers, pillboxes, observation posts, and blockhouses. We also showcase known sites where battles took place. We have no limits, and our goal is to explore Civil War remnants throughout Spain and parts of Europe. So, if you enjoy history, mountains, adventure, and nature, join us for a great time exploring the vestiges and remains of the Spanish Civil War! We're not historians, but we are passionate enthusiasts who have researched and visited the sites where these events that shaped our history unfolded. We hope you enjoy our videos, and that we can explore both nature and our history together. Thank you for watching the video and subscribing to the channel. Best regards!
