First LNER Azuma service to Inverness, 1Z41/1Z42 on October 23rd 2019, 800109, plus Sleeper shunting
October 23rd saw LNER run a loaded trial run of the EDI-INV portion of the 1W96 Highland Chieftain with 800109 running as 1Z41/1Z42. This shows a few pictures of the Highland capital since my last visit in 1989/90 blended with other station operations including excessive amounts of shunting of the new CS Sleepers. 800109 was later involved in the first significant incident of an Azuma, at Leeds just over 2 weeks later.
