Girl Goodbye - Chris Eger's One Take Weekly @ Plum Tree Recording Studio

Please support our series and get exclusive/behind the scenes content at   / chrisegerband   Episode 102: Toto's self-titled, debut album was released in October of 1978. The veteran studio musicians that made up the group must have been shocked when the album heralded mostly negative reviews. Comically, Rolling Stone called none of the four lead vocalists "better than passable." The album contained both Pop-sensibility laced hits, and a few deeper cuts like "Girl Goodbye". The band's exquisite playing provides a perfect bedrock for Bobby Kimball's soaring vocals. OTW is engineered and mixed by Richard Williams @ Plum Tree Recording Studio. One Take Weekly aims to present a sneak peek inside a studio recording session, each track performed and filmed in one take - imperfections & all. No overdubs, NO AUTOTUNE, and no trick-photography! (Just good mixing...& my nearly inept video editing skills) What you see is what you hear - CE.
