Is the Hyundai i20 N the best small hot hatch you can buy in 2021? Well, Mat’s here to find out! For starters, let’s take a look at what you get with the N version of the i20. Upfront under the bonnet you’ll find a 1.6-litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which can deliver 204hp & 275Nm of torque. And just like the normal edition, it comes with a manual gearbox. But of course, that’s not all! There’s a whole load of styling updates both inside and out, including a whole new front bumper & special N grille, and even a roof spoiler (although the aerodynamic benefits remain to be seen…)! What’s more, you even get a set of bespoke tyres designed just for this car. Let’s face it though, the i20 N has got some stiff opposition in the small hot hatch market, with the likes of the GR Yaris & Fiesta ST reigning supreme!
