Preparing for Winter in a Wooden Cabin | Mushroom Foraging and Handmade Furniture
This video captures a few days of preparation in my wooden cabin before winter arrived. I renewed the window shutters. Using old unused table legs through a recycling approach, I built a new dining table and a firewood side table. I also reorganized the shelves to make the interior more functional. These projects, completed with simple hand tools, show that it’s possible to build a solid and practical living space in a simple way. During short walks in nature, I gathered enough fresh oyster mushrooms to last for several days. The nights were already turning frosty, and the cold was becoming more noticeable. The precautions I took to keep the cabin warm made a significant difference throughout the winter. In this episode, I share both the production process and the natural rhythm of living in the wild. What do you think is the most critical detail when preparing a cabin for winter? Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments. Thank you for watching.
