Dr Besigye declined three State lawyers-go represent the needy not me, I have my competent lawyers

Court registrar has selected three state Lawyers to represent Col Dr Kiiza Besigye and his Co-accused Hajji Obeid Lutale and Capt Denish Oya Ola. The three state lawyers include Namawejje Sylvia, Selwambala Julius who previously represented Johnson Lubega and Nassif Kalyango in the murder case of Maria Nagirinya both were sentenced to life in prison. The third lawyer is Awero Sarah who previously represented Okello Onyum in a murder case of Ggaba juveniles and later sentenced to death. Justice Emmanuel Baguma who is in charge of this case read out a letter from the registrar, indicating that the accused persons were availed with a list of 786 lawyers to choose their choice, but none was selected hence choosing for them under article 28 (3) (e) of the Constitution.
