TOM CRUISE ACTION DIRECTOR: WADE EASTWOOD

Ever wondered how Tom Cruise pulls off some of the most insane stunts on the big screen? Wade Eastwood has all the answers. He is the man behind the real Mission Impossible and countless other Hollywood Blockbusters where the action team delivers jaw-dropping, knuckle-clenching and death-defying feats of skill for our entertainment. Wade is a fascinating guy and I've been fortunate to work for him as a stunt driver on a couple of films, including Mission, and known him for years as a mate. Wade's approach to work is extremely focused & organised to the Nth degree - what amazes me is that despite the level of risk-taking and the strain of managing a large team of maniacs, he stays cool, communicates precisely and everyone enjoys going to work for him. The hallmarks of a leader. Some people might say "action is their life" and have an element of truth behind the cliche. For Wade, action literally is his life - whenever I text this guy he either can't reply because he's skydiving, or he's up a mountain, or I bump into him at a race track.. etc. He is the real deal fall guy, action man, movie maker and film director who came through the business the hard way. It was a pleasure catching up with him & hearing about some of his antics growing up, some of the stunts that went wrong... and what it's like working with the great Tom Cruise.
