The Sandpit Ride Where Things Finally Clicked

After a few sketchy moments earlier in the day at The Sandpit, this was the ride where things finally started to click. The track was still tight, sandy, and tricky, with ruts, trees, and plenty to think about — but this time I stayed on, kept it under control, and actually felt like I was riding instead of just surviving. It might not look fast, but for me, this was my best run of the day. I’m getting back into dirt biking in my 50s, and this is exactly the kind of progress I’m chasing — small wins, better control, more confidence, and learning something every ride.
