In this video, we sit down with Yuji Yoshikawa, a former detective who served with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for about 25 years, to hear the real, behind-the-scenes stories [Profile: Yuji Yoshikawa] 1956: Born in Saitama Prefecture. 1976: Joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). 1977: Assigned to the Setagaya Police Station after graduating from the police academy. After serving in the Patrol Division (now the Community Affairs Division), transferred to the Juvenile Division, where he contributed to solving cases involving organized crime and Child Welfare Act violations. 1980: Entered the Faculty of Law at Chuo University as an MPD-sponsored student. 1988: Promoted and reassigned to the Shinjuku Police Station.
