Is Bir Actually Worth Visiting Without Doing Paragliding?

Most people come to Bir Billing for paragliding and leave. But there's a whole side of Bir Himachal Pradesh that almost nobody explores - massive monasteries, a Tibetan settlement the size of a small city, free meditation sessions, and quiet trails surrounded by the Dhauladhar range. In this video, I walked through Bir beyond the paragliding crowd and found places that genuinely surprised me - monasteries so large you can spend 45 minutes inside and still not see half of them, stupas with no visitors, and a cultural complex hidden right behind the landing site. 0:00 - Intro 0:12 - Chokling Monastery (right next to the Bir landing site) 1:26 - Palyul Choekhorling Monastery 1:56 - The colourful monastery near Mangala Cafe 3:47 - Deer Park Institute, Bir (free meditation classes, residential courses) 4:18 - Ride to upper Bir 5:07 - Bir Bazaar & local market walk 5:50 - Palpung Sherabling Monastery (the biggest surprise - a complete Tibetan city) 10:26 - Bir Landing Site (best evening spot to watch paragliders & sunset) 10:41 - Bir Clay Studio (pottery workshop & store) 10:51 - Outro If you're planning a Bir trip, make time for these places. The monasteries are incredibly peaceful, beautifully decorated, and almost empty. 📍 Bir, Himachal Pradesh, India Also watch: Is Working from Bir Billing Actually Worth It in 2026?    • Is Working from Bir Billing Actually Worth...   SUBSCRIBE -    / @kaustubhsync   #birbilling #himachalpradesh #birbillingparagliding #birhimachalpradesh #birmonastery
