Storms knock out power, leave West Michiganders to battle the heat

Thousands of people in West Michigan spent a hot and humid day without power or air conditioning after storms brought down trees and power lines, leaving people to clean up damage during scorching hot temperatures. The storms knocked limbs across neighborhoods, brought trees onto roads and damaged vehicles and homes. In Delton, Troy Freed tells News Channel 3 he walked outside with his coffee and found debris scattered around his property. “I walked out with my coffee just to see what was going on, didn’t even have any idea,” Freed said. “And there’s everything’s blown down, all these limbs everywhere.” Freed then saw a tree had fallen on top of his camper outside his home. “Obviously not the best way to start off a long holiday weekend,” Freed said. “Wasn’t one we thought we’d encounter.” STORY: https://wwmt.com/news/local/storms-kn... #news #michigan #storms #weather #heat #airconditioning #extremeheat #heatwave #holiday #fourthofjuly #westmichigan #localnews _______________ Stay up to date with our social media: WWMT on Facebook:   / wwmtnews   WWMT on Twitter:   / wwmtnews   Subscribe to WWMT on YouTube:    / @wwmtnews   WWMT Daily News Digest:    • WWMT-TV Daily Digest   For more information, visit https://www.wwmt.com/ Have a news tip?
