Patapon 2 - Farming lvl20 Kacchindonga

Finally managed to beat it by figuring out which stats make patapons resistant to being frozen by weather effects. Turns out none of the masks providing cold resistance/defence do so. Instead, I had to either change the class to Supengu (Penguin), or equip my Tatepon Hero with a fire type shield (which I don't have yet). I also equipped my Kibapon with a Crimson Horse, which gives the Null Freeze effect and he wasn't frozen by weather effects either, so I guess that's the stat to look for against Kacchindonga.
