Creating Detailed Scenery Around My Lumber Mill. Pavement, gravel, weeds, ballast and more ACHB 2-19

I go through the process of developing and creating the various scenic elements around my Walther's "Mountain Lumber Company" saw mill on my HO Scale model railroad layout. I created a paved area for loading the train cars, complete with aged, cracked pavement. I also create a gravel parking area. I show I ballast my track, and what materials I use. I put down some static grass - both with an applicator as well as clumps using my fingers. I also weather a couple of the buildings, add sawdust as ground cover, and try to get the are looking like a well used sawmill. I end the video by running some trains and doing some switching to get the train cars back into the mill. #modelrailroad #modeltrains #scenery
