Fishing With Leftover Threadfin Shad Below The Dam!

In this video, I put some leftover live threadfin shad to use below one of my local dams after finishing up a guided fishing trip. With summer heat settling in and the daytime bite slowing down, I used the shade from the dam to stay out of the sun while seeing what might be willing to eat a free-lined bait. The action wasn't fast, but I did manage to catch a nice White Bass that went into the cooler for a future catfish trip. Later, I landed the fish I was actually hoping to catch that day—a Freshwater Drum. Along the way, I also answer a question I've been getting from viewers by talking about some of the differences between threadfin shad and gizzard shad, and how I rig them. If you enjoy live bait fishing, tailrace fishing, or learning more about using shad as bait, I hope you enjoy the video!
