Yukiko Ueno will be personally instructing talented pitchers aspiring to become Japan's top pitchers. 🥎 This time, we're featuring pitchers from the Japan University National Team. 🔥 ▼Yukiko Ueno Profile Born July 22, 1982, in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. 174cm tall, right-handed pitcher/batter. Currently a member of the JD League's Bic Camera Takasaki. She began playing softball in the third grade of elementary school. As a second-year student at Kyushu Women's High School (now Fukuoka University Wakaba High School), she contributed to the team's victory as the ace pitcher at the 1999 World Junior Championships. After graduating from high school in 2001, she joined the Hitachi Takasaki Softball Club (now Bic Camera Women's Softball Takasaki). At the August 2008 Beijing Olympics, she threw 413 pitches over three games over two days, contributing to the team's gold medal. She has since won numerous individual awards in the Japan League, including MVP, Best ERA, and Most Wins Pitcher.
