The 3rd UENO LABO is here! Yukiko Ueno will be personally instructing the young talents aspiring to become Japan's top pitchers. 🥎 This time, she'll be giving breaking ball advice to participating junior and senior high school students! She'll carefully explain the basics of how to throw a riseball and a changeup. 🤲 ▼Yukiko Ueno Profile Born July 22, 1982, in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. She is 174cm tall and bats and throws right-handed. She currently plays for the JD League's Bic Camera Takasaki team. She began playing softball in the third grade of elementary school. As a second-year student at Kyushu Women's High School (now Fukuoka University Wakaba High School), she contributed to the team's victory as the ace pitcher at the 1999 World Junior Championships. After graduating from high school in 2001, she joined the Hitachi Takasaki Softball Club (now Bic Camera Women's Softball Takasaki). At the August 2008 Beijing Olympics, she threw 413 pitches over three games over two days, contributing to the team's gold medal. She continued to win numerous individual awards in the Japanese League, including MVP, Best ERA, and Most Wins Pitcher.
