Father Louis Gigante was one of the four brothers to Genovese Family boss Vincent Gigante. He in the late 50's became a priest, politician and ultimately a construction developer. There's more that meets the eye with Louis, in the end he was basically as associate for the Mafia and used his power and prestige to exploit the people of his parish in the Bronx.
