These two situations are characterized by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) when there is a reduction in the amount of food available among adults, a disruption in eating patterns due to food shortages, a reduction in the amount of food available among children, or when someone goes the entire day without eating due to lack of money.
