Maria é uma “sem-terra”. Quando ela chegou ao acampamento de Frei Umberto, no Brasil, ela não tinha nada, ela estava com fome, mas eles a ajudaram. Ela começou a trabalhar, a colher feijão, milho... Atualmente ela tem seu pedaço de terra, sua casinha, sua alma. Ela até mesmo faz curso para aprender a ler e escrever. Ela é simplesmente feliz.
