The Pam Hupp story Part I: Chris Hayes investigates

On a hot August day in 2016, Pam Hupp dialed 911 from her O’Fallon, Missouri home. She claimed she shot and killed an attempted kidnapper. Her story didn't add up to police and prosecutors. Fox 2 exclusively recorded Hupp’s arrest. Her story didn’t make sense to us, either. I was the only reporter to investigate and broadcast stories surrounding Hupp starting in 2011. The twists and turns appear as if they were ripped from a crime novel. You’ll see them in this report, which includes the only on-camera interview with Pam Hupp. In fact, I'm the only person, including police and prosecutors, to ever interview Hupp about Betsy Faria's murder and the death of her mother. This investigation also tested a balcony railing similar to the one Hupp's Mom reportedly fell through. The surprising results, along with Hupp’s exclusive comments to Fox 2, may still have an impact on this ongoing case. Hupp is scheduled to stand trial in June 2019.
