CERES RAIL COMPANY Steam Train 1st 2021 Run! ▶RAILFAN in SOUTH AFRICA's YouTube Channel 👉   / railfaninsouthafrica   ▶DESCRIPTION: On Sunday, Nov 28, 2021, the Ceres Rail Company's iconic steam train has resumed its travels between Cape Town and Elgin after being halted for 20 months since March 2020, at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, the CRC train had been operating every weekend, taking passengers on somewhat of a journey back in time with a steam locomotive heading the train from Cape Town into the Elgin valley. Departing from Harbour Bridge Hotel on Dockrail Road at the Foreshore in Cape Town at 07:45 and arriving at the Elgin Railway Market at 11:30. The trip makes its way up the winding mountainside along Sir Lowry's Pass before heading into Grabouw and the valley below.
