Bell Ringing at St Saviour’s, Pimlico, London

The fifth and final tower of the Bucks and Berks and Surrey Young Ringers Outing to the Pimlico area. St Saviour’s Church in Pimlico houses a 7cwt ring of eight tuned to G. However, I recon these are G#. The back six were cast by John Warner and sons in 1887 and the front two in 1890 by Mears and Stainbank. Overall they sound rather pleasant but are a little shrill. The bells boomed down the staircase which made them have guts which I liked. The bells go extremely well and are super easy to ring! This video clip shows a plain course of Kent Treble Bob Major conducted by Angie Jasper. Enjoy!
