Season 3 Episode 14: Return Engagement Miss Ellie is delighted to see Gary again and she tells him that although they can’t all live under the same roof after the way he was cast out, she needs him in her life. Valene tells Miss Ellie that she and Gary have been seeing each other for a year since they left the ranch. Gary informs Miss Ellie that he considers remarrying Valene and moving to California to start over, however, he doesn’t want to hurt Lucy or anyone else if the second marriage doesn’t work out.
