Dallas: Miss Ellie’s wedding gift to Valene & Gary

Season 3 Episode 14: Return Engagement J.R. checks out of the hotel, but his car hasn’t returned yet. When a bellboy tells J.R. that Kristin went to the St. Francis Motel, he hires him to take him there. Back in Dallas, Valene has kept the wedding dress she wore when she married Gary the first time when she was 15. Miss Ellie gives Valene and Gary their wedding present, a house in California to call their own. Gary and Valene don’t want to impose. Miss Ellie even reminds Gary that Jock and J.R. drove him away when he and Valene were first married and they took Lucy away from them when she was a baby. Miss Ellie regrets not doing a thing about it and she ended up raising Lucy. With a change of heart, Jock shows up to attend Gary’s wedding after all.
