Orange County Mexican Mafia Arrest Announcement

First Assistant United States Attorney Bill Essayli along with Akil Davis, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office; Robert Rodriguez, Santa Ana Police Chief and Manny Cid, Anaheim Police Chief announce the arrest of twenty-five members and associates of the Mexican Mafia prison gang today on three federal indictments charging them with committing scores of crimes in Orange County, including kidnapping, extortion, trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, running illegal gambling businesses, and murdering a victim last year at a gang-controlled Anaheim motel. Assistant United States Attorneys Greg Scally, Caitlin Campbell, and Erin Kiss of the Orange County Office are prosecuting this case.
