Stop Doubting and Believe | John 20:19–29 In this message, Hannah explores the story of Thomas and his doubt after Jesus’ resurrection. Rather than treating doubt as the opposite of faith, this passage shows how honest questions can lead to deeper trust in Jesus. Doubt is reasonable: Thomas doubts because dead people stay dead, and he wants real evidence that Jesus has truly risen. Doubt is necessary: Thomas’ questions lead him to see the risen Jesus and respond with one of the clearest declarations of faith: “My Lord and my God.” Doubt does not have the final word: Thomas’ doubt is not the end of his faith, but a doorway into deeper conviction and courageous witness. This passage reminds us that Jesus is not afraid of our questions, and that honest doubt can lead us to stronger faith when we bring it to Him.
