This is a review of Metroid Prime Remastered, released for the Nintendo Switch. The original Metroid Prime was released for the GameCube in 2002 (2003 in Japan), and has been hailed as a signature title in the series for over 20 years. While Metroid is synonymous with exploration-based action, Prime is a first-person perspective game that offers a different kind of immersive adventure than the 2D versions. The remastered version features significantly improved graphics and a modern control style, making it easy to play for both first-time players and fans of the original. While some of the inconveniences and hardcore game design from the original remain, making it a title that may not be to everyone's taste, it's a must-play as it marks the beginning of the series.
