In this video we experience a day of Ramadan in the Moroccan countryside, surrounded by nature, peace, and the authentic rhythm of rural life in northern Morocco. We prepare together for iftar, sharing a full day of farming work, traditional cooking, and simple countryside living. We begin the day preparing the meal to break the fast in a traditional way. I dig a hole in the ground to cook a Moroccan tangia made with a whole oxtail, using an ancient slow-cooking method based on natural heat, just as it was done traditionally in rural areas. Meanwhile, Ali works in the garden planting part of the summer crops: lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and peppers, continuing daily agricultural life and working with the land. Later, I prepare warm homemade bread in a pan over the fire using clay cookware, while Ali takes the sheep out to graze and the animals live peacefully together on the farm, reflecting the calm of Moroccan rural life. At sunset, we gather as a family to break the fast during Ramadan after a day full of work, nature, and traditional cooking.
