The GRAND Pipe Organ at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral!

What an absolute joy it was to visit the magnificent pipe organ at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral last week — an unforgettable experience! 🎹 I first played this organ years ago, but after its superb 2023 restoration by Harrison & Harrison, it is better than ever. With the detached console facing that breathtaking array of pipes and the cathedral’s incredible acoustics, this instrument absolutely thunders! Originally built by J.W. Walker in 1967, it’s a true powerhouse — loaded with stops and sonic might. Nearly a week later and I’m still buzzing from the experience! A massive thank you to Richard (organist) and James (Director of Music) for the warm welcome and for generously letting me loose on this beast of an instrument. Please enjoy the video — I hope it conveys just how extraordinary this organ is! ► NPOR Link: https://npor.org.uk/survey/N00086 👉 Please SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, COMMENT & SHARE — it really helps the channel grow!
