By now, enough people understand the concept of a calorie deficit, but still use exercise as an excuse to overeat and eat back calories burned. The surefire way to see consistent progress is staying in your deficit no matter what, and not accounting for any calories burned from movement. Watches, exercise machines, and other trackers can be highly inaccurate. If you consistently stick to eating less calories than your body needs to maintain its weight and keep yourself accountable, there’s no way fat loss won’t happen.
