In this series, we will delve into a general analysis of the Old Testament. We will identify the author of each writing, the approximate or probable date of its writing, the intended audience, the historical context or situation that prompted it, and other essential details for a better understanding of the biblical text. In general, believers have limited knowledge in this area. The series will conclude with a brief overview of the intertestamental period, that is, the time between the two testaments (approximately 400 years, although the analysis will actually cover more than 600).
