Parts of Removable Partial Denture (Cast Partial Denture)

In this lecture, I have briefly discussed the different components of a Removable Partial Denture (Cast Partial Denture). The RPD, or the removable partial denture has a very unique structure made up of various different parts that give it a complete design. A removable partial denture has in total 8 different parts or 8 different components. The components of the Removable partial denture (Cast Partial Denture) are named as: The Major connectors The Minor Connectors The Rests The Direct Retainers The Stabilizing Component The Indirect Retainers The Denture Base The Artificial Teeth Each of these component has a specific function to perform contributing to the stability of the removable partial denture. There are many other types of the individual components that are making up the removable partial denture. that I will discuss in some other video.
